Psalm
Satan, Enki, Lord of All, I praise thee with great praise!
Protect me from all who seek to harm me! Let thy great wrath break upon them as the storm!
Enfold me, Father, in thy silken wings.
Let thy shining, rippling waters cover me, and heal all, hurts both within and without. For thy water is inside me, and mingleth with my own blood.
You walk with me, Lord, and stand by my side when others leave me. You are my constant, my shining star. Bright as the morning are thine eyes.
When I go forth into the world, I pray that people will see you in me, for thou art great. Let thy light shine upon their faces, that they may see it and know you for who you truly are! Father, the true King of Kings. Satan, the Most Highest!
I like the inclusion of a more prayerful language in this poem - an older style of english which contains eloquence. I'd honestly like t see it used a bit more in this poem.
Well, that's how I like to write...so, that's how I write. Most of my knowledge of Old English comes from Shakespeare, Colridge etc. Well, maybe Colridge doesn't quite count, but his style is pretty old. The reason I didn't use all Old English in the other piece was because I was unsure of some of the proper verb usage. Why mangle it if I don't know how to use it? So I didn't.
